Public Meetings on Hawaii Small-Boat Fisheries

Hawaii Archipelago, News and Updates, Upcoming Other Meetings and Events

Hawaii small-boat fisheries, including those that catch federally managed species such as ahi, Deep 7 bottomfish, uku, Kona crab, mahimahi and ono, are important to the culture and livelihood of Hawaii. The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council, NOAA Fisheries and State of Hawaii are conducting a series of meetings to hear from the public on potential issues in the fisheries including data collection, closed areas and quotas. All meetings are in-person only and will include an open-house format with informational booths from federal, state and fishing organizations.
